Description

The Aerocraft H-60 Nose Ballast/Battery Relocation Assembly provides a means for installing up to ~208 lbs of fixed ballast with the option of relocating the stock battery to the nose of the H-60 Blackhawk Helicopter.

The Aerocraft Inc. Ballast Box Assembly consists of an aluminum Ballast Enclosure that houses multiple lead Fixed Ballast plates enclosed by an aluminum Cover Plate. The combination lead plates can be configured to achieve a ballast weight between 24.4 and 208 lbs. In addition to fixed ballast, the aircraft battery can be relocated and mounted to the to Cover Plate of the Ballast Box. The Cover plate also features mounting locations for the CIS Processor if needed.

The Ballast Box is installed in the avionics compartment at fuselage station 177.6, B.L. 0, located in the nose region of the H-60 (Blackhawk) helicopter.
